Renovation of Čipera Villa in Zlín Completed

The grand opening of the villa took place at the end of February and was attended by representatives of both the investor, which is Zlín Region, and the city, as well as other guests. Radim Babík, head of the Zlín centre, cut the ribbon on behalf of Metrostav CZ.

We provided the investor with a complete 3D scan of the building and its surroundings in maximum quality, stored on a flash drive. If this technology is still readable when the villa is renovated, even a hundred years from now, it can make the work of future generations of builders much easier.

The renovation of the Čipera Villa took a year and a half and was extremely demanding from the beginning. We paid great attention to the choice of materials and the technologies used – some elements, such as bricks, were made to measure. The installation of the building’s technical equipment and the restoration of the historic structures were also technically demanding.

Throughout, we worked closely with the investor and conservationists to ensure sensitive and high-quality restoration of this exceptional monument. Pavel Hrabalík and Vítězslav Přikryl led the Division 1 implementation team.

We are glad that we could contribute to the revival of one of the most important architectural monuments in Zlín Region.
